Default Q?: XS Power Camshafts +24WHP on Stock Motor?

Like the topic says...
I find this hard to be true. and want to hear who else out there claims the same results or similar before I "OK" the purchase on these cams.

Here is his set-up:
B16A
I/H/E
Dual Valve Springs & Ti-Retainers (Intake & Ex.)
Hondata
Skunk 2 Intake Manifold
RC 310's
Stock Head
Stock Block

Here are the Dyno #s:

B16A + Bolt On's & GSR Cams = 152WHP -

B16A + Bolt On's & Skunk 2 Cams = 168WHP -

B16A + Bolt On's & XS Power Stg. 2 Cams = 176WHP-

Camspecs:
Intake 0.461,293; Exhaust 0.468,295

Results: +24WHP

What Cha Think?

well, its not uncommon for someone advertising parts to state optimistic numbers. but then again, the motor you described isn't stock, like you said in the title. what kind of tuning did they do for each set of cams?

Had a customer bring me a set of XS Power cams he wanted me install onto this B16A. So I pull the stock cams off and proceed to install the news ones, but the cam won't seat in the journals. WTF? After a while, I found that the ridge of the cam that centers it on the journals was .9mm thicker than the stock cam, meaning it wouldn't fit on the journals!!

Needless to say, he quickly sold them and bought CTR's, lol.

I feel bad for whoever he sold them to instead of trashing them, but you get what you paid for on E-bay.

here are the specs:
-remove cams from box
-throw cams in trash
-use box to hold nuts and bolts

using these cams is a big gamble. i would be afraid to put parts in my motor that surely have never had any r&d. spend the extra money and get quality parts; it will pay off in the long run.

Why would you do that? I actually installed them on a friends GSR, first off the key way didnt even want to go onto the gear itself, than after applying the timing we though everything was good yet it kept jumping timing. We threw them out and installed OEM ITR cams and everything went smoothly. Stay away from these cams please.

Because they're crap... They are made of a harder metal/steel then other cams.. they'll wear your rocker arms out within weeks of using them..
Throw them in and see how u do..

There was one kid who tried these for like 3 days and his rockers were getting hurt pretty bad..i mean these cam might actually be good for power..but the quality that they're made of is pure ****..
the specs are around those of a JUNIII cam..but XS is comparable to OBX..and although obx cams have been tested..and broken..if u dont run obx ****..dont run xs ****..
