Default Suspension Thread (contains Pictures and Specs)

This thread is for suspension setups only. All I want to see in here is members listing their current suspension setup with a picture or two to show the drop. This is not a thread for discussions or to ask questions. If you have a comment for a member, IM them, if you have a question that isn't answered by this thread or by searching (recent, archive, FAQ, Guide to Basic Accords) then make a new thread. This is simply here for a reference. Points will be deducted from those who repeatedly do not follow the rules and if people continue to not follow the rules, this thread will be locked.

When you post, I'd like the follow things to be included...

Year/Model/Trim:

Suspension: (List manufacturer and product of whatever it is you have installed... springs, struts, coilover sleeves, full coilovers, sway bars, camber kits, etc.)

Specs: (If you have adjustable struts list what you have them set to, if you have coilovers specify how much you've lowered it, etc.)

Rim/Tire: (List what rim you have as well as the diameter, the width and the offset. Also list what tire you have as well as the size and tire pressure.)

Alignment Specs: (List your alignment specs, if you have them, so people can see how certain suspension setups will affect their alignment. Will also help people to decide if they'll want a camber kit or not.)

Brief Description of How the Car Rides: (Give a brief description of the cars ride and how it handles... bouncy, smooth, harsh, etc.)

Pictures: (Post a picture or two that gives a good view of the drop. Don't post 3-6 general pictures of your car, there is a thread for that, keep the picture(s) specific.)

Thats all I can think of, if I've missed something or if anyone thinks of something else that they feel should be added to the list, IM me and we can discuss it being added.

-Ride is amazing, stiff and sticks to the road but not uncomfortable.

Year/Model/Trim: 96 Accord EX

Suspension: Skunk2 Racing Springs, Tokico Illumina struts, Ingalls, poly-urethane 3 degree anchor and bolt kit for the front, washers in the rear, Megan FU strut bar

Specs: Illuminas are currently set on 3. 1 is the softest, 5 is the stiffest. i had it on 5 for a couple weeks, but it was just uncomfortable. yes, the handling was great, but it wan't practical.

Rim/Tire: Stock, 195/60/15 i think. 33 psi in the front, 35 psi in the rear.

Alignment Specs: -1.2 on the front, with my camber kit fully extended. without the kit, it would be -4.2. the back is -1 and that's with 5 washers per 10x1.25x50mm bolt

Brief Description of How the Car Rides: car rides great, really smooth on the 3rd setting. on 5, it was great for handling, but the ride was just too bumpy for me.

Year/Model/Trim: 1994 Honda Accord EX
Suspension: KYB GR-2 with H&R Sportline in the front and Eibach Prokit in the rear. The front drop is 1.75in and the back is 1.2
Rim: 15 x 5.5 OEM Honda EX Rims not sure of stock offset.
Tires:Yokohama Avid Touring 195/60/R15. Tire pressure is set at 32psi all around
Alignment Specs: Ingalls camber kit front and Ingalls Smart Arms in the back. My camber is now about -.2 degrees all around. Without the kit i had -2.8 and -2.3 degrees camber each side on the front and about -1.2 and -1.5 on the back.
Brief Description of How the Car Rides: The car rides just like stock maybe a little bit stiffer. I am happy with the way that it rides and sits, not too bouncy and not too stiff. I know its an odd setup but it sits nice. I have about a 5.5in gap from my front lip to the ground. One finger gap in the front and two finger gap in the back.

Year/Model/Trim:2000 Accord SE

Suspension: Tokico Illuminas, Neuspeed Sport springs (1.8 F 1.7 R), front strut bar, Acura TL type S rear sway.

Specs: Illumina fronts set to 3, rears 4.

Rim/Tire: 17x7.5 Falken Hanabi riding on 215/50/17 Bridgestone Potenza G 009, recommended air pressure.

Alignment Specs: Within factory alignment specs

Brief Description of How the Car Rides: Not very bouncy, but you do feel every crack in the road. Generally uncomfortable for a DD if you aren't willing to suffer for it. Personally after 5 years of owning my car I'd want to put it back to stock instead of being so low and uncomfortable. Not enough shock travel due to the lowering, and it scrapes on steep inclines.

Year/Model/Trim: 1993 LX CB7

Suspension: KYB AGX(2f/5r), Tein S-tech springs

Rim/Tire: 4th gen vtec prelude wheels on 205/55/15. Picture shows Falken Zeix 512's, now riding on Hankook 601's

Alignment Specs: I've never had a problem with visible-to-the-eye camber, until I took out my bump stops. Taking out the bumpstops on the front lowered my car about 1/4''.

Brief Description of How the Car Rides: The ride is nice and smooth. A bit harsher than stock over crappy roads, but is smooth as stock everywhere else.

Performance wise, it sucks, imo. The car IS lower and does handle better than stock, but the springs are WAY to soft for some serious twisties action. Body roll>this car

:2001 Accord 2dr SOHC

:Nex SS Full Coilovers

:Federal SuperSteel 595's 205/50/17 on unknown wheels they are 7x7.5. Got them on CL lol ftw.

:Fully lowered in front 3.5 in. In rear 4 in. Not sure on camber in rear, its very small. No camber in the front.

: They only adjust height and spring stiffness, no dampner setting. With that said, I have the springs set to super stiff all the way round. Rides bouncy and harsh on rough freeway, but on smooth pavement it glides but still you feel every crack. Im going to soften the fronts a bit to help with the front "up and down" on those big freeway dips.

Honestly, for $400 used, they ride pretty good, corners are crisp but the bouncy sway in the front kinda kills the whole vibe of tight turns. You decide...Im switching to AMR Engineering Full Coilovers. Only $1450 son FTW!!

1997 LX

Koni Orange (Str.t) w/ Eibach Pro Kit

195/55 Falken ZIEX 912; 15" Enkei PKR

It rode a little bouncy at first, but after getting polyurethane spring isolators I noticed a smoother ride. I also had to replace the sway bar frame bushings and links. Handles much better then stock for an entry level drop.
