UPDATED: I swapped on a d16y8 IM onto my d16a6... all the vacuum lines are in the correct places and one is plugged, because i am not using a dashpot. Anyways, my idle is @ about 2,000 when i start, and will drop to about 1500-1750 in about 3 minutes sitting...but when i drive it, i get no CEL and my idle will bounce sometimes even as fast as 1,000 rpm jump every 2-3 seconds. I dont understand the problem, because i dont think it has air injection becuase its not 99-00. All nuts are on, even the dumb one in the middle/bottom with brand new Hondata Gasket. The idle adjustment screw is all the way closed leading me to think vacuum leak, but i have yet to find one. Any help would be appriciated, new TPS and MAP were put on and my connectors for the two are not switched...thanks

also the idle drops to about 1000 then will continue to rise to 1250 and then drop to 1000 in about 2.5 - 3 second intervals
I would check the Throttle postition sensor, it's on the back of your intake manifold on the left. You can loosen the screws and when the car is running you adjust it left or right and if that doesnt work you may need a new one. Hope that helps

ive done all this asking if there may be something else...that way to adjust it doesnt really work for me as well seeing that my idle is @ 2,000 with startup and a fully closed idle adjustment screw...cleaned IACV as well, but ill go home and spray carb cleaner to find out, its probably a vacuum leak

found out it was the stupid b18a1 TB to y8 manifold with the b18TB gasket didnt seal right. I used carb choke to locate the origin, sealed it up and the idle dropped to like 100, so i think there is still a minute leak from it but nothing bad...thanks
