I think I have Kpro, someone help me here?
I bought this car modded (which I know is a mistake but its mine now) and I always thought that when the vtec engaged its usally around 4400 RPM, well I had a very good knowledgable person ride in my car, and asked if I had a reflash and I was like wtf? He said vtec is usally engaged around 5800 RPM, so my question is how do I know that I have it? were would the ecu/hondata part be if I was to have it. That or, is there anything else but hondata to reflash or tune my car?
It's in this area by your steering.
How it looks when you open it up.

Might look like this if it's a new K-Pro ECU. Might look stock, like above, if its a reflash, but it should have logo of some sort in or outside.

You'll find the exact directions on RSXCLUB.COM, but it doesn't look bad.
Here is the link for ECU removal.

its not usually under the steering column . . well mine isnt at least ... check underneath your glove box ... take off the flimsy cover ... your ecu is bolted up towards the glovebox ... easy to see if your laying down and looking upwards ...
unbolt your ecu .. i t hink its 12 mm and check on the sides for a usb port ... if so then theres a good chance you own a kpro ecu ... very cool hope this helps ... if so hook up a laptop and have some fun lol

cause if you look at the image it's not in the steering column. it's on the side of the steering between the driver door and steering column.

ecu is definitely under the glovebox on all RSX's, immobilizer setup is under the steering column.
remove the three clips under the glovebox, remove the carpet lined panel and see if there is a Hondata sticker on your ECU.

The what the hell is CLUBRSX.COM talking about? The pics above are from their install section website. I got those pics from the link off their site called, "ECU Removal."
Check out the link above. Unless Acura relocated it for different years? I don't know now I real confused.

if your still unsure
look at the third pic of the opened ecu
see the square hole cut out on the south side of the ecu
that's where the usb cable goes
a stock ecu will not have that access
only a k-proed ecu will have that hole cut into it

didn't you have to go to acura to get your keys flashed or something

i don't understand how unless someone did it for you
then again, i do have a 05-06
maybe slightly different for the 02-04s...
that's gotta be it
we have to switch to a 02-04 ecu so we can't use the immobilizer
the only way 'we' can do it is take it to the acura dealer and have them reflash the "code" to the keys and ecu

Oh yeah your right, the 05-06 owners do have to do that, mainly because it's not the ecu from your car. See in my case it worked probably because it's the original ecu from my car, so it already had the code for the immobilizer.

to Crashes: dude is ur rsx-s a red a-spec? did it come with intake, DCRH, and comptech exhaust because if it is, then its not an k20a2 its a k20a3 i wouldnt rev it too far! the guy who had it before put a supercharger on the k20a2 but he blew it so he just put an k20a3 in it and traded it in for a Evo.
