You want to put a new outer joint on it?
The cost of reman axles from the parts stores, makes the installation of a new outer joint not really cost effective if you consider labor.

However when the outer joints are rebuilt, they plunge cut the joint to fit in an oversized bearing. That plunge cut removes the case hardening from the bearing surface. So if you do decide to install a new outer joint you will be a little better off, in the long run.

If you need further help just repost Exactly what you want to do.

Its a pain in the *********.......you're much better off taking it to like Kragen and exchanging it for a new one and let them rebuild the old one. The new one cost me like $140 and I took in the old one and they gave me like $80. So, like $60 for a new one.
