finally got started on the car!!! and finished too! only two days! wed/thurs

we (me and bro) got the wires/hose unplugged dropped the motor out from beneath because we dont have a cherry picker at the time, got the motor sitting aside. prepped the B20b motor, got the mounts on there, tranny on there..we got the L bracket on along with the rear mount. we pounded the side of the frame for clearance for the alternator. we dragged the b20b under the car to swap it cause again no cherry picker.. had the car on a jack very high, dropped the car and tamper with motor to get it in place, and so we did. got everything put back together like radiator all hoses etc.. then came the rewire the Dx to a Si wire harness.. got it done started that mother up and **** its loud like a bitch, open headers cause the type r header doesnt line up with the stock exhaust, heres some pix

the b20b

the single cam is dropped out, can still c the linkage attached

our lil workshop/garage

rear hasport mount with the banged up side

dragged motor under frame

top view

car was sitting on the ground when we was getting the motor alighed

got the motor in place

got the headers on manifold radiator etc

got the car startedand running w/ the open headers. had some fuel leaking but got it fixed

Your off to a good start! You'll love the torque of that engine. What tranny are you using?

my car is in my sig, that wago is my brothers car ( the guy in the engine bay) we are both using a b16 tranny, we are putting in a b16 head on tomorrow (Fri).. that **** is hella gonna pull, cause we had a stock b20bvtec in our crx (selling to a friend tomorrow as well) and it ran a 12.7 all day with bolt ons/full interior/slicks 191hp/151trq so yea i bet it will pull hard with the b20 alone!

k the muffler we solved the problem. we cut the stock piping about 3 inches off were its near the shifter..we used a rubber piece along with like 8 clamps..slapped it on the car tonight and ran it on the highway...man that shitty 2 inche pipe is cloggin the power..as we came back for another round the fucken second pipe (towards the rear muffler) came off and we was running like open headers. its was so damn loud, but ****... the power kicked in so hard.!!!!! bro is waiting on his tax to come in and hes going to put on a 2 1/2 pipe all the way back like my sedan.. stay tune for b16 head going on sunday with new rims as well!

enjoy the pix!

his car (LT) and my sedan (RT)

the pipe that we cut off

the rubber piece and clamps

thats how it sits

oh and this is my brother (his wago-van)

the crx is gone after 7 years me and my bro worked on it. complete shell with no motor. wat my bro got out of it is a clean set of rims (pix above) and a complete b16 head. yesterday (tues) his friend finally delievered the had to my brother.

a complete 00 b16a2 head with itr manifold vtec kit etc.

motor is probably going on sunday because we still need to clean a little more and need to get a head gasket.

STR cams

cleaned, still needa clean more.

this moster sleeper is coming together really nice. 2 days swap and running. and waited 3-4 days for head to come in. and it will be only 1 day for us to switch heads. we still need arp or gsr head bolts and gasket then the work is on, enjoy!

Nonetheless, cool project.

no why clean it when its gonna get dirty again anyways you know..

everything we do is legitly done btw. may take us 2 hours or 2 days, but everything will be perfect, can you believe we've had this b20 (in the wago) for 2 years now? it was a 12 second engine before we sold the last b16 head on it. now its back and running in a new shell..the Wago-Van...
