Throwout bearing question..
My throwout bearing makes an annoying squeek noise when the clutch is not engaged. I've been told by a few people that I could possibly adjust my clutch pedal to get it to go away. It only squeeks when it is disengaged but if it's pressed in barely an inch worth, it stops for the most part.
I'm replacing the clutch once I get my turbo installed anyways but I was just wondering if I could temporary fix this.

^^wow
the throwout bearing will only make noise when its engauged. The throwout bearing is what presses against the pressure plate "fingers" and disengauges the clutch. When your foot is off the clutch pedal the bearing is not spinning. Try bleeding your clutch.

brilliant.
its usually the pilot bearing making noise when the clutch is engaged, since the TB isnt doing anything. but you could try adjusting the pedal...theres a pushrod on the pedal that sticks into the master cylinder, if theres no clearance b/w the rod and cyl, the tb will be held against the pressure plate fingers with the clutch engaged

Wow that guy is an idiot.. Too bad you have to remove the entire transmission just to get to the damn thing, which I'll replace when I get a new clutch.. 100k on an OEM clutch...
Thanks for the help to everyone else. I don't know how to bleed a clutch but it's pretty common sense in the automotive world. I'm sure my dad knows how.
