Default SuprDave tuned SOHC D16 results..

just got home from the trip to chicago to see SuprDave at the whip factory. first off, dave is one of the coolest guys/tuners in the world! great guy. so glad i didnt goto tony, lol. we made about 20 passes on the dyno. what we finally settled on was 403whp and 310 ft lbs. uncorrected. and this was on only 22 psi!! it did in fact make more power.. close to 440. but it was maxing my injectors out. stupid me for getting 780cc injectors. but it was also maxing out the turbo at about 25 psi. we both decided to tone it down to right above 400whp and call it good. that is more than enough for the street, trust me lol!

overall dave was just astonished at my setup and what it was doing. it was making the same power and sometimes more at the same rpms of a dohc b-series and at the same psi. another thing that amazed us was that it continued to keep hold the power all the way up to 8500 where he stopped. and it looked like it would keep holding the power past that! this is unreal for a d-series. exospeed must of done a damn good job porting and polishing the head. that is the biggest flaw in a high horsepower d-series. their heads dont flow for ****. there were alot better graphs besides the one pictured below that showed this.

dave thought this was one of the best d-series he has ever seen. said its an easy 10 second car with slicks. we were also having some problems keeping the car from doing burnouts on the dyno in 3rd gear lol.. so we had to switch to 4th gear, which sucks compared to 3rd.

basically everything went smooth as hell. i havent slept in i cant remember how long. hahhah. i decided to drive it part of the way home. HOLY expletive THIS THING PULLS. it is unreal on the street. i couldnt ******* believe it. it literally pins you hard into the seat and you had better hold on. i was doing some pulls through 4th gear and derek was behind me he said everytime i pulled away it would just leave two long *** black marks on the road lol.. the thing is though when driving it, it doesnt feel like its loosing traction at all. just pulls like a son of a bitch.

sneak peak video..

nice numbers. its good to hear that your exospeed engine is doing so good. i also have one of their motors sitting in my closet waiting to be installed. its their stage 4 block and head with one of their custom camshafts. it will be nice to see if i can get your numbers.

BADASS for making 403 at 22psi!!

do you plan on getting new injectors and turning up the boost or is the turbo done at 25psi?
