I heard nhra is dropping Morosso #2. And they are trying to get a race in the midwest? I also heard they were coming back to texas, but it wouldnt hurt my feelings if they didnt come.

I'm going tomorrow as well. Just too many things I needed to do after work yesterday and I didn't want to drive 4 hours at 3 am not knowing if I would fall asleep...
I'll leave around 3am tonight, as this is a day trip. I don't know how Im going to see most of it. We'll try tho and I'm going to see just who I want to see and talk too.
So it should be fun.
I know some of the faces here, so I'll see you there!

SFWD and All Motor class joining up. haha.
my personal opinion: take out the All Motor street tire class and bring in the SFWD equivalent of All Motor. Guarantee there will be more cars in that class.

BFG gives away more money then any other sponsor. maybe some people need to get over the drag radial thing and realize there is quite a bit of money in the class. how many other classes get $50 for showing up, $500 for top qualifier, and $5000 for going faster then anyone else. seems like a pretty good deal to me.

If we all raced just for the money, then most of us wouldnt be in this. As much as the $$ is enticing, alot of racers dont like the street tire class. We race because its something we love doing. The money thing is just a bonus(if there is even any).
Bakersfield Battle of the Imports last weekend.. there were more than 12 cars in the street all motor class. And thats just people from Central cali and Southern Cali. there is another 10-20 cars that could have come up for the race too and filled up the class even more.
Look at the thread of Quickest All Motor N/A Street car. There are 44 cars from Cali out of 99 cars on the list. How many participated in the Street Stock class in Pomona? 7 cars? That class could have been easily filled to 20-30 cars qualifying for a 16 car field if that was an slicks allowed class.

What if they convert SFWD to a non-slick class? Would you like that?

not my fault if they don't want to change tires and weight to run in the class. The money is out there for anyone to take, no one is going to force them. I agree that we are not racing for money but every little bit helps. the way that I see it, the less people that race in the class the easier the money is to get...

Not at all blaming or pointing fingers. The money is there, obviously, but it sure isnt making most people change the tires. Shows how much that means to most of the racers.
Ya its true that its easier to win with less cars, but to be honest with all of you, I dont really care much for the class. Not to take anything away from what CDR, Loan and other people in that class has done, you guys work hard and i commend that. But the class is not that exciting to me. I'm an all motor head, and I would like it better if it was an equivalent of SFWD.
P.S. Sorry for the OT.
