Some in-car and out of car footage from 2006 NASA Championships

Here's Friday Qual race 1.
Mostly you'll see the fight for 5th place. John Oldt, Pete Curpier, Chris Fries and Kevin Helms are pretty bunched up for a while. Pete and Kevin have contact in the Keyhole that decides the race.

Is that you driving in the first video? Regardless, it would appear as if the driver was almost afraid to pass or push his to the limit during braking and turn in. Until about 6 minutes in, it appears as if he's just out there following around the track rather than racing.

After that though it appears he/you started going ***** to the wall. Great vid!

Yep! I'm a wuss. Well, a rookie anyway, and I didn't want to get my nose dirty for a qualifying race.

Also, it's only my 2nd weekend in this car. I'm still getting used to it.

Not bad, you definitely picked it up in the second half of the race though. Good job.

I don't think water should be shooting out the spark plug holes like that, water injection systems are not legal in HC.
