Default Video: BOV and What compressor surge sounds like

Original Thread: https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1

Here's an updated video, where you can hear what the Synchronic BOV sounds like on a moving car (at the end of the vid), and hear what compressor surge sounds like, and a comparison with another BOV.

I see your using that design. That thing reacts quick as **** I wouldnt mind paying $200+ for that.

I believe in selling volume. The market is big enough with Euro/Japanese/Domestic all going turbo for OEM. I don't know what the exact prices will be yet, but, it won't be unaffordable.

My goal is to develop product that obsoletes and outperforms whatever is out there today, and I think that is where the value is for the customer.

But, do they react/actuate as fast as Synchronic BOV? Do they have overboost protection? I can't wait to get a hold of them to see how fast they work.

It is possible, I have a design in mind to test still

Someone mentioned earlier that it looked there was better throttle response with this BOV. It is because in the normally open condition, the engine can rev faster from full vac to 0" since you are bypassing the restriction of the intercooler, piping and compressor. The Synchronic Wastegate works the same way. With both of them in place, the engine can have the throttle response of an NA motor by eliminating restriction on both intake and exhaust.

make them to fit a greddy flange. so when i get one i wouldn't have to worry about getting a flange for it.

Just to clarify, the Synchronic BOV has interchangeable flanges, so we'll be releasing many different flanges so that no one has to do any welding.

Whenever I get a hold of a different BOV, I'll do a little test and update the vid. The Tial has a diaphragm though, so we'll see how responsive it is. One easy band aid for valve response is to go big on valve diameter, which is what I suspect.

Overboost protection, no my hondata takes care of that.

Make sure when you test the RFL that all the washers are in it. I put all the washer in mine and wd-40'd it while I had it apart and it is VERY fast. It slam shut so fast it makes a popping sound if you crack the throttle.
