I was originally going to do a K swap, but i have a turbo EG i've been neglecting, and someone like me can't own 2 hondas...its very bad for the bank acct.
1997 DX Coupe 5MT - NO RUST!!
- Fresh NSX Kaiser Silver paintjob this spring - used to be Vogue Silver - sorry bay and inner doors were not painted, but the paint is still fine Stock color was Vogue Silver - so it doesnt really look all that bad, or noticeable.
- Si Wheels with brand new 195/60-15 All seasons on two wheels 95%, and two 195/55-15 michelin xgt tires (stock on the tegs, si's etc) 90% tread
- NO RUST, NO ACCIDENTS
- Converted from Auto to 5speed - I did not do the conversion, but i assure you its clean, and you cannot even tell that it used to be auto (clutch pedal placement is perfect, no squeaks, typical sloppy D-series linkage feel)
- Miles on Chassis: around 120K
- Engine: The kid did a mini me (y7 block, y8 head) but he didn't wire vtec - the soloenoid is not plugged in. It also throws a CEL for a knock sensor (i have the sensor, just never got around to putting it in). Still runs solid and gets 28-29 mpg city despite the CEL. U can drive it just fine as it sits, or u can put a nice k20 into it, etc...
- 99-00 Front end conversion, with new OEM headlights + Sylvania Silverstars.
- 99-00 Tails
- 2.25" cat back piping - i believe from an apexi dunk system - the can was mad gay so i too kit off and put on a "stock" looking muffler.
- 99 Prelude Seats
- All black/dark gray interior - driver's side speaker panel missing.
- Replacement 5MT cluster w/ Tach (i think from an EX)
- stock honda radio (no cd)
- New starter, new plugs few months back (like 3 max)
- passenger window regulator should be replaced, window pops out of the track.
Any other questons feel free to post or IM.
This is a perfect candidate for a K or B swap, or, u can fix the kid's mini-me messup if u want as well, which can be daily driven fine so long as u dont mind the knock sensor cel.
It does have charged AC, but when the kid put the motor back together, he forgot to install the AC idler pulley, and I've been having a bitch of a time finding one believe it or not. The AC was charged when the car was being painted this past spring, so if u can find an idler pulley, u have AC.
