Why was there never any pics of these two dudes del sol conversions? I HATE....lemme repeat HATE conversions. Then again though, I really don't like the delsol front end. I think that it is too bubbly and well...girly lookin. Not to say I haven't seen badass lookin delsols...I have. Hell, I own a delsol with the regular front. I just must admit, despite my hatred for front end conversions...this EK front does for some damn reason intrigue me.

Can someone here post the finished quality, non riced out (i.e. no body kit crap) ek front conversion on a del sol?

The only conversion that you should do on a del sol is to change a 93-95 front end to a 96-97 front end and replace the headlights. I personally think that del Sols with EK fronts look like ****. An EG would be better but still not my thing.

I have a 00 conversion on a EG hatch...
Not finish yet...

You cut and weld the rad support
cut and weld the fenders.
Bondo the fender a little to get the line out of the 00 fender
Cut out/mod headlight housing frame to fit 00 headlight
Weld latch on the new support
weld latch on the bottom support
I also weld a holding place for the bumper.

My opinion: The EG front end makes it look like an older Japanese sports car, which is a cool angle. The 99 front looks sorta cool if ya do it right, but the 96 front is a bit off key, feels a bit big for a short car.

And for the reference, I have had sex and a car, and that EG2 del sol is NOT sex. It's a car, and the exhaust pipe is ****** worse than genital warts I tell ya. But if you tilt it sideways and squint, you can sorta picture a hymen. Or is that just me?

h-t's slogan should be, "If it ain't JDM then take that **** elsewhere!"

Cuz it's the truth on here.

I get sick of seeing criticism on a clean car because it's not JDM, especially my car.

OP: I like the '99-'00 front on that white sol!

Actually, JDM is rice, in truth. JDM conversions are an exorbatent amount of money for very little gain, and some are worse. Like a JDM DC2 front end conversion has HIDs for a RHD car, therefore blinds traffic, and only ricers would spend thousands on that. Sure you can call it aestetics if you are willing to put in some LHD engineered HIDs in there for the projectors.

Oh, and the truth is, a clean car is clean. Doesn't always mean it looks good, JDM or not. Most JDM cars are ugly, and naturally, we don't like them. the USDM Hondas are styled differently cause if all of em were styled like JDM cars they wouldn't sell. Honda isnt stupid, there is a reason for two different styling in two different markets. Most people on this website have no clue about REAL aestetics. expletive what these JDM obsessed ricers think, most have no taste. What actually looks good? And it seems few know, and some may not have the money. I know how I want my car to look, and it will look damn good, and even now at car meets I get respect cause I'm not a *****. But I don't have the cash right now, as I need a new hood, headlamps, a bumper and a fender.

Yes its true beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Remember, this is the INTERNET. Bitches think 1000 good comments and 1 bad comment isnt good enough. We are free to call a car ugly. Go ahead, defend why you think it looks good whether YOU like it or if you DO want to impress others. Its alright. But I will call cars ugly, and don't be a politician and call my car ugly, defend yours. If ya want to attack my car thats another matter, another thread. I will post a thread with my car, no photoshop, there it is bare, if people want and if you ****** hate the look of it, your free to say that. I may ignore what ya say, but you can say it without me attacking your car. But if I ask you to post your car, ya don't have to.

Lets all sing a song and get along. The EG front on the Del Sol matches and I think its cool. I do not like the EG2 cause its got running lights AND fog lights, and is too busy and styled wrong. The bezel for the yellow lights is too thick on that car. I do like its running lights, cause without em, the del sol looked too boring, perhaps why no one bought one.

My car is in the paint shop getting painted black from the body line up and repainted silver from the body line down with some polished 16" Nippon F2s (Rota Slips), VIS carbon hood, VIS carbon trunk and a carbon gas tank door and a blue pearl on all of it. I got rear ended and I have a buddy who owns his own paint and body shop!

Here's the car before I got rid of the carbon hood and eyebrows.

I'm on h-t for the tech part, but I must be in a phase where I'm checkin the appearance/cosmetic lately. There are few technical threads left though. This poster had a question, and beyond front end frame modification, little welding, some brackets, I coulnd't tell ya how to alter a front end from a EK to a EG chassis.
