ok i did some more research and it says that 6500 means im not hitting vtec>?
i guess that leaves me with three options
1: the groound on the oil pressure solenoid?
2: dented oil pan
3:thin *** oil?
any ohter sugestion.

you should have a CEL code if vtec isn't engaging, unless there isn't enough oil pressure. when you replaced the oil pan, did you make sure the oil feel line wasn't bent up? How bad was the oil pan dent?

my old oil pan was made of aluminum/ it completely shttered. when i say completly i mean that the only things left were the part that screws into the block.
i put the new oil pan on . and it was kickin vtec. the all of a sudden it stopped and my redline is 6500.
yesterday i
1. checked all vtec wires
2. checked oil level.
3. cleaned vtec pressure and solenoid screens
my oil pan did rub a little before the vtec stopped working
