no matter what rods you use, replace the OEM ones with ARP rod bolts

i will be using arp bolts and head studs :D

i will be running a chipped ecu from mtber or kenji before i get it tuned im a bit worried about driving it around, but will i be ok ? or will i ahve too much comp?

will i be ok with piston to valve clearence

might have to clay the motor when u put it together just to make sure you get good piston/valve clearance

Clay to mesure the valve clearence. Make sure you dont slap a piston into a valve and skew everything up.

Couple of things i would checkout first
Dont use ctr pistons.
I dont think itr rods fit, 87 vs 89 But im not sure ask around.


Compression Calculators are wrong on the ctrs. in a LS block and a b16 head its 12.8:1 in a GSR head its higher. Bad for the street.

Use P30 Pistons 11.5:1 flat dome and arent as heavy

use Ls rods if your staying NA.

Vtec water and oilpump and a GSR timing belt along with the ARP's and your golden.

i will be running TODA c's and a b16a head with p+p, gas flowed.

the dude that is building the motor for me said they would be fine.

when you say over cammed are my Cams too agrssive? or oposite?
