Default 98 CW being saved from salvage.

I picked this caR up for $1100 on saturday and I was playing around with it today.
It came with the carpet and some interior plastic but I'm in the process of cleaning that and then I'm going to put it back in. All the body lines are straight so I couldn't ask for much more. There is alot of work to be done wiring wise but other than that she'll go together great. I'm going to be asking you guys alot of questions in here so please try and bear with me. I promise it won't be anything too stupid. Anyhow, here's a few pics for you to enjoy, they were taken by JDM DC2 GSR but he has to hang around the "other" integra forum .

UPDATE 7-9-06

All the new stuff you see here(fenders/lights/head lights/inner fender liners/bumper/lip) all came from that black GSR. I love Dan, he's my hero...

BTW, the 4 lug is sold to JDMEK910, super cool kid. I got an obd2-obd1 boomslang harnes with VAFC hook up from him.

Here's his gsr.

Big thumbsup for saving an R from the scrap heap.

Good luck with it. This place is a great resource; the best on the Net.

WOW, that shell is dirt cheap, and looks to be in great shape body wise. Good luck on the rebuild.

Awesome find man. I wonder if it use to belong to anybody on here?

Damn I wish they would have put those badge numbers somewhere on the body instead of just on the armrest. It would make it much easier.

So true... or if Honda had separated the serial numbers from the rest of the Integra line, so the badge number matched the VIN, but of course that makes too much sense.

You know, I was going to ask you guys if you could tell the badge number by the vin... any help with that is appreciated.

BTW, the 4 lug suspension I have... would it be possible to swap the knuckles and get ITR lower control arms/pads/rotors/calipers becuase the control armms and trailing arms bolted up like they belonged there. TIA-Eric

No way to tell the badge number by the VIN, normally. If you have some way of determining who the previous owner was then ask them, or maaaybe the dealership it was sold from when new might have it on file somewhere.

Even though I'm fairly sure it all bolts up and mostly interchanges, I'll let someone else answer your suspension question.

LOL!! man this is ******* cool, we're starting to see more ITRs risen from the dead then stolen and totalled lately. this thread put me in a very good mood thanks.

on a side not, i'll try and save as much "ITR" stuff for you as possible for cheaper then i'd normally sell it for since you're pretty much starting from scratch, what are your plans for the car btw??

Good luck on the rebuild!

Get it back to ITR status and go from there, since the car will never see a registration process I can do whatever I like with it emissions wise so there is a good chance of it becoming a weekend track warrior. I've wanted an ITR since I was 14. I'm 19 now, I'll be 20 in december. So this is like a dream come true to me. Thanks for all the posotive input guys..
