Can exposure to excessive precipitation damage my VTECH system?
Is it possible to damage my Integra's VTECH system by driving in the rain? A friend of mine, who is more knowledgeable with Honda and Acura vehicles than I am, stated that driving a VTECH equipped vehicle (like my 2002 ITR) can cause problems with the operation of VTECH. I believe He said that the moisture content of the air can seep into the VTECH fluid lines, and cause premature deterioration of the VTECH fluid. My friend is a mechanic at a local Honda dealership, and said that the VTECH fluid lines are prone to leaking, and thus, moisture can enter the lines, mixing with the fluid and causing damage. Thank-you for any input.
Please do not call me a joke. My friend works for Honda, and has told me about this occurrence. I am only trying to ascertain the validity of his statement. The only other transportation that I have is my Suzuki GSX-R 1500R, and I really don't wish to ride it in the rain. Will the rain cause damage to my vtech system or not?

No.
You would only cause damage specifically by driving in the rain if you were driving around w/the bonnet off or you had a cold air intake and drove through water so deep that you sucked water into the CAI.
