Default Street tires with good traction

Im thinking about buying some buddy club p1's 15x7, will 205/50/15's be ok, also will that throw off my speedo any?? I've look at nitto, Dunlop, falken, not bad prices online, like $80-100 a piece just looking for a tire to hold better traction than my 195/65/16's. Car is 92 civic hb cx.

Looking for street tires, not track or drag, not yet.

from the looks of the previous tire size you posted (195/65/16), your speedo is probably already off from the factory 13/14" wheel!

the 205/50/15 may throw the speedo off from the factory as well but not by much to make a huge difference.

as for great street tire, the Bridgestone RE11 is hard to beat for performance. Same goes for the Dunlop Z1 Starspec.

the 615K i have not tried (Falken) or the Nitto though so i can't comment on those tires.

keep in mind, these tires are obviously only for summer use.

195/50R15 is not quite as popular a size as the 205/50R15, but the Dunlops and the Bridgestone are a little cheaper in that size.....

"Summer", in regards to tires, just means "temps above 40*". I run RE-11s year round, and they're leaps and bounds better than the RT-615s in the wet. The Z1 Starspec probably even more so, but I have no personal experience there.
