Default AEM CAI for Type R on my EJ

I read a post last night that said a Type r intake would fit on an EG and it was 3" compared to the 2.5" that the make for an EG. Is this true and if so is there anything you have to do to make it work, ie trimming it a lttle or a different hose connector?

You really dont want a three inch pipe if you have a SOHC motor, if you have a B series then yea, I'd go with the AEM ITR model.

It is "supposed" to fit with no modifications, but my boy got a Type R AEM intake and he had to mod the heck out of it(93 CX hatchback).

I had the AEM CAI for an ITR on my EJ. The only thing that took any modification was the little rubber mount thingy, I had to drill a hole for it and put a nut on the bottom of it. This was on a GSR bottom end using a B16/Type-R head with ITR manifold. I think that it would be alot more work with a GSR intake manifold.
