Default Crazy electrical issues! Help please:

I have a 94 prelude, and after sitting for a while to get re-painted i went to drive it last night and everything acted up. The tach was jumping all over, all the lights would dim and my stereo would shut off when i would push the brake pedal. I put in new doors on both sides, but i dont think even if i messed up that wiring it would effect the tach and stereo?!?

Could this have to do with a low battery, or bad alternator?

Also my throttle got stuck shut and i couldn't push the pedal at all.

Any ideas on these issues would help. Thanks!

i know my 89 loses power when it sits for about a week or more. i could barely get it started one time. the radio turning off when you're braking (because the rear lights light up and use power, of course) is a good sign of a VERY weak battery or a bad alternator.

take it to autozone, they'll test your battery (and charge it if needed) for free and they can also do an alternator check for free. good luck & hope this helps

check all your grounds if the voltage is not low

and as far as the throttle getting stuck shut that hard, it would have to be the cable messed up somewhere, or something huge cought in your throttle body....
