Deschlong---
going back a while in this thread and a question about the "low fuel indicator"
the parts needed for this can be found on a 96/97 4dr USDM Civic?
Also, would you happen to have pics of what is needed to be done to your current cluster

I just hope I can get the parts from the local junk yard cheap...they like to jack up the prices on everything

ceelx: What's missing for your HLW-system?
Here is a pic of mine from the rear side of the bumper.
We have them on many EGs in sweden. Yesterday I was looking at a car with a complete set (tank, pump, hoses, nozzles, relay (?), switch, etc.) but I didn't take it.

Re: OEM EJ1/2 and EG rare and optional Parts
Hey everyone,
So I went to pull a harness out of a CDM 1993 EX Sedan, and it turns out it had an OEM Security System installed -- this is the first time I've ever seen one of these. (Well, I might have seen one last month but could not confirm this 100%.) Anyway, I thought you might enjoy taking a closer look at it.
Note these units provide *very* weak security, so showing the setup of the unit compromises little for those still relying on it to secure their vehicles (if any). The information in this post provides nothing additional to existing information about these systems that isn't currently available on the Internet (most notably, the installation instructions).
Probably of most significance to those of you who are interested is that this option provided the first instance of remote-operated power lock/unlock on a Civic in North America.
As I stated above, the control unit is zip tied to the floor carpeting under the driver's seat. Very weak. Later year (1994-95) Civics had a proper bracket that mounted on the underside of the driver's seat. The security system changed for these later years, also, becoming slightly more secure, and also dropping the mounting plate for the mic and switches. I do not believe that a siren or hood latch trigger was available in 1993. Only the horn functions as an alert to intruders in this setup here.
Note that I did not locate a key fob inside the vehicle, so this system is basically non-operational. I did discover the name and address of the previous owner of the car, so if I can get in touch with him there is a slim chance I could piece together the complete system. Otherwise, an inquiry at the Honda dealer might provide some clue as to whether a key fob could still be ordered for the system, however doubtful.
