Finishing up some welds and giving the subframe a protective layer of paint to prevent rusting.

Got the rear sub frame in, I would say the rear setup is about 80% done. Can't wait to feel how she handles with a true rear independent suspension and not that trailing arm crap.

Short answer, yes. I have one reinforcement in right now, I need to make it a little more stronger than an average awd civic setup since Mitsubishi is rear bias. The 3000gt vr4 has a power distribution of 45/55 instead of Hondas 70/30.

So this is a template of the driveshaft size. May have to run the exhaust directly out of the hood haha.

Cutting some things getting those measurements. Progress is progress. Tad from driveshaft shop is suggesting a 2 piece driveshaft, he's the expert, gonna trust him on that.

Not my eg but a friend's/competition, helping him strip down the body for restoration after their shop caught fire. Luckily mostly cosmetic damage.

Pulled out the 5sp FWD, mounted up the 6sp AWD and started cleaning up the engine bay. Still the N/A dodge stealth engine inside, the TT block still sitting on the engine stand, not installing until the car is ready.

Thanks tent was given to me because some tubes were rusted through but replaced it with 1 1/4" emt conduit. Pallets here are free from most places and I had lots of spare ply from previous projects, its practically a professional booth lol.

Got the alignent done yesterday, the tech couldnt get the rear driver side to cooperate. I told him to hit it with a hammer but sadly he didnt want to. The spherical pillow bushing is solid and needs some "encouragment" to allow the center shaft to move so a hammer is actually the right answer lol.

Driver side suspension upgrade complete. The pillow spherical bushing was a cunt to install on this side given that the company designed them to be installed from the back with a seat lip instead of the front tapered like a stock bushing and the mounting holes weren't even the correct size for the bolts had to slightly bore them out. Just giving you guys the heads up.

Camber and toe adjuster arms installed along with a spherical pillow bushing. Should stop that wobble when dropping from 5th to 3rd when I wanna disappear.

More progress on my brothers budget build. Maybe when his wife stops cracking down on him he can actually drop some cash in his car. Good little toy for me to play with so I don't get rusty with fabricatibg crap.

Progressive shift light mod. Hate how crappy shape the interior is in but hey the whole car was $500. Dash is all sun baked and brittle, tug on it a little and parts will come off in your hand. Want black Si interior :(
