My father and I bought this car when I was 14 (I'm now 25). Flew to VA, bought the car and drove back. Started a frame off restoration later that year. The engine and tranny are both rebuilt, all new suspension, new tires, $10K paint job, new vinyl top. The undercarriage was sand blasted and undercoated, the engine bay was sandblasted and repainted, the frame sandblasted and repainted (off the vehicle). Still a work in progress as the next step is to completely re-do the interior.
Engine/Drivetrain Modifications:
Original engine fully rebuilt. Added 4 bbl carb and intake, slightly larger cam, bored .030 over. Transmission rebuilt to withstand 600hp.
Suspension Modifications:
All new suspension according to stock specs.
