Was still pretty gross, this was definitely a midwest vehicle given all the corrosion. Thinking about painting the whole block to be honest.

Since I was cleaning everything, I read about using gasket remover to decarbon the pistons, so I gave it a shot. Rotating until TDC, I sprayed w gasket remover, and used a white rubber bristle Roloc pad on a drill. Took maybe 40 minutes.
