Hey all and welcome to my garage here at d-series.org devoted to my 1998 Honda Civic EX. This car was purchased about a year and a half ago from a local buddy on mine (i raced against this car way before i bought it). This car has went through a major evolution process over the last two years. Off came the graphics and on came the carbon fiber hood. Next the blown d-series stock motor came out (58k on with light turbo driving...YEAH RIGHT GREER!). a bearing was spun and got a 78k motor in her. Well its been about a year and half running 10psi with no intercooler and a head gasket leak appeared. To late; overheated and spun a bearing while revving to 7000 rpms under boost. In the process of rebuilding my motor the right way with an intercooler and crome engin management. Here are some of the equipment on the civic now:
weapon of choice: 1998 Civic EX with a stock d16 vtec
engine: greddy turbo kit (no intercooler), FMU, fuel pressure riser with guage, missing link, greddy stainless exhaust, apex v-afc for engine management
handling:ground control coilovers, 17" racing hart c5s with pirelli p-zero 205-40s, dc sport strut brace and rear tie brace
exterior: wings west kit, carbon fiber hood, alteeza tail lights, no graphics, mesh grill, touring spoiler
interior: momo pedals and shift knob, boost guage, apex v-afc.....pretty much stock...kiss method (keep it simple stupid!). thanks to honda-tech for all your support guys!
