I have a rare set of first gen 17" Advan RC's in white. I really don't like white rims on cars, so I want to paint them black or a dark gunmetal. Would painting these rims hurt the value of the rims, or will it really matter? I'm going to have them done by a professional, so there won't be any backyard, shotty paint job on them. If repainting will hurt the value significantly, I'll leave as is. What about powdercoating? Thanks.

how about this, you paint them and then I'll buy them for $350 shipped!
kidding, if your going to keep them anyway and have no intention to sell em do what ever the expletive you want to bro their yours. off that note, if you do decide to change the color i believe powdercoating your best bet, appearance wise.

wheels are not an investment, do what you like with them.

 

Do what you want to them, but if you plan on selling them in the future, don't expect the same value as original unpainted ones.
