Will it fit?
So I own a 1986 CRX. The tires are pretty much gone. Supposedly the tires have been on the car since 1992, but surprisingly, still have some tread; with a penny, its just below Lincoln's head.
Anyway, I need new tires that are relatively cheap and will work for now, until I save up some money to buy new wheels with new tires.
The stock tire size is 175/70/13. TireRack sells Sumitomo HTR 200 tires for a very attractive price, and they have gotten pretty good reviews according to the survey.
Sumitomo also offers 185/60/13 and 195/60/13 sizes. I just wanted to know if these would fit on the stock wheels and if the increased size would really change anything as far as the handling and feel of the car.
The price difference is only a couple of dollars, $3 and $7 respectively, and from what I know (which really isn't much), the extra width and smaller sidewall will give me a slightly better feel.
Basically, will the bigger sizes work?
