Default wheels and offset

this may be a stupid question but i need to know what offset to put on my civic. I have 17 inch adr wheels with 205/40R/17 tires and everytime i hit a bump the tires will hit the fenders or rear quarter panels..thanks

The higher the offset the better in your situation. Allot of 4-100/17" wheels around a round a +42. If your wheels are already that offset and still rub, you can either roll the fenders or run negative camber in the rear. If you do that though, your tires will suffer tremendously.

ok thank you. do you think if i do like a 45 offset, it will rub on something else inside the wheel well? Because i'm trying to get the right wheel to slam my car down without having any trouble turning sharp or hitting any bumps

Cant you just set the toe, and it wont affect the tires as much?

Toe set will not make more clearance, camber will. And yes, toe will wear tires VERY rappidly. Camber also excelerates wear though.
