Default wheel size question

Sup fellas i have a question concerning the fitment on my 05 civic ex coupe. I want to know if i can ride on 19 x 8 or does it have to be 19 x 7.5? I recently upgraded my susupension to b&g coilovers and this is the question I've been asking myself. Please let me know if its possible. Sorry if sounds like a dumb question that i should know already.lol I'm new

It depends on what size tires you are planning on putting on.

Well, I wouldn't get 19" tires on your car, for a whole bunch of reasons. First, the smallest common 19" size is 215/35-19, which is too big for your car (3 percent larger diameter than stock). There's a good chance it will rub on the wheel wells/fenders, it will make your car's acceleration slower (like getting taller gears), and your wheels will be very susceptible to damage from potholes. Most 215/35-19 tires are approved for rim widths of 7.0-8.5 inches, so you could use 19x8 or 19x7.5. I would stick with 19x7.5 so that your tires look okay, not too "stretched". If you do get 215/35-19, then I suggest getting the Kumho SPT tires for it, $110 each and you can get a $40 rebate on a set of four.

18x7 is another option, with 215/35-18 tires, but those too will still be susceptible to pothole damage. If it were my car, I wouldn't go larger than 17" wheels...

ok 19 x 8 are out of the question, either 19 x 7.5 or 18's is the goal. I had 19's on my previous car (axis spiders) had no problem with them.I used 215/35/19 .I'll be using the same size. I am not looking for speed as of now, just looks. Pot holes I have no probelm cuz there aren't any. I am always ion the look out for holes or uneven roads.

thxs for ur help nsxtasy

Okay, good luck with them.

BTW, I know it rains a lot in your state. That Kumho Ecsta SPT I recommended is absolutely awesome in the rain...
