Tread depth question
My tires are down to 2/32, and I dont know alot about tires. They are worn, but dont look too bad. Do I need new tires based on this tread depth? Thanks for any feedback.
In states that have extensive vehicle inspections, your car will not pass inspection with only 2/32" of tread. The tires may still ride/handle ok in the dry...but any water on the road will make things interesting in a hurry. As empathy said, it's time for new tires!

yup
if your treadwear is at 2/32...def time to replace...
you'll have slicks in no time if u run those tires anymore
you can also check by looking within the grooves of the tire...
there is something called a "tread bar"...
which is automatically set on all passenger tires at 2/32
once the tread bar is flush with the useable tread...
time to replace
btw...fyi...passenger tires come with 10/32 useable tread brand new
