Default Tire+ rim question

Can i run 1996 Type R (jdm) 4x114.3 Wheels with a 225/50/15 Tire?

ummm... if your bolt pattern is 4x114.3.. and the wheels would have to be pretty wide (about 7.5 inches+) to run a 225 tire especially on a 15 inch rim and they'd look pretty beefy

The lug nut pattern (e.g. 4 x 114.3) has nothing to do with whether you can mount a certain tire size on a given wheel. That depends on the wheel width. Look on the website of the tire manufacturer or tire dealer (e.g. Tire Rack) for the tire model you're considering, and see if your wheel width is approved for that size tire.

i think the wheel might only be 6.5" wide... i probably couldn't run it right?

nope.. you MIGHT be able to stretch a 205 on a 6.5inch wide wheel

Maybe. Look on the website of the tire manufacturer or tire dealer (e.g. Tire Rack) for the tire model you're considering, and see if your wheel width is approved for that size tire.
