Tire help
Alright well I have had my rims and rubber on my car for a while know, but I am noticing a problem with them. It seems like I have got loose steering and It feels like my car is walking all over the road.
Know I am sure its my rubber I have not lowered the car yet or gotten it alligned but still it should'nt be this bad lol
Some people tell me they think my tires are coning or somthing and it really does feel like I have only got a little bit of rubber on the road.
When I got the rubber the were set at 45 psi so I took out some air and they are now set at 35 psi that helped a little bit but not enough.
Any ideas on what's wrong or how to fix this would be great.
Thanks Travis

Couple questions about your problem
1] What brand/size are your tires, are they directional?
2] What vehicle are they on, how many miles on the vehicle?
3] How many miles do you have on the tires?
4] Is this feeling worse on certain types of road surfaces than others?
Not knowing the answers to my questions...my first guess would be that you need an alignment. The camber/toe settings in the suspension can deteriorate over time from normal vehicle use alone. My second guess is that your tires are directional and could be suffering from "groove wander" or "tram-lining" and it's getting worse as they wear.
The more info I have, the better answer I can give you. An alignment sure wouldn't hurt...I wouldn't expect to pay more than $75 USD for that service.
Thanks
Matt

1) The rubber is falken ze 512"s, Yes they are directional, size is 205-40-17
2) There on my 2001 Integra LS, It has 58'000 km on it.
3) I have problly got about 800-1000 km on them.
4) Obviously on a ******* road it is worse, but for the most part it's the same
Other then that I don't know it really feel's like the car is floating or somthing.
Any more info would be great thanks for the advice so far

What kind of tires did you have on there before your Falkens?? The 512's are an "all-season" tire, meaning they give up some all out dry & wet grip so they can be functional when it gets colder. If you were used to the way a "summer tire" handled before you got the 512's, then you may just have to get used to them.
After only 1000mi, the tires shouldn't have any irregular wear problems unless they've really been abused (track day, auto-x, etc...). So, I don't think cupping is the problem - just my opinion.
I would still recommend an alignment...after 58000 km, it won't hurt regardless. If you still aren't happy w/the way the car handles after that, see if your dealer will let you return the tires and give you a discount on another set. A reputable dealer should be willing to work with you on that if they value you as a customer.
Keep us posted, this might just be an issue of getting used to your new all-season tires...

Yeah before the falkens I had bfg traction ta's which are also an all season.
I think what im gonna do is through my old rims and rubber on for the time being beacuse I have to go on a trip soon and I dont want my rims getting stolen or anything like that lol.
Im thinking after I take my rims off I well just wait tell I have it lowered before I put them on again, then I well put them on and get it alligined all at once, then we well see if that fixes the problem or I well take it from there.
But yea I well definetley keep you posted with whats going on.
you might ahve to wait a while tell I find the money to get it lowered lol.
Thanks for all the help
