Those running wider tires: noticed any decrease in fuel economy?
If you've moved up from your stock 195 or 205 tires, say to 215, 225, or 235, noticed any changes in fuel economy?
Yes, due to rolling resistance and wind resistance, it should be expected. I probably lost about 1-2mpg going from 215/50/16's to 225/50/16's. Running a lighter wheel will counter this slightly, though.
I doubt that any differences will be significant enough to notice. There are so many other variables that fuel economy typically jumps around by a few mpg without changing anything.
when i went from a 195/65/15 to a 205/60/15 I would be hard pressed to say it made a difference of more than 1 or 2 mpg, if that much. I would say inflation pressure makes a bigger difference.
