Default Thin-style socket lug nuts?

So I was putting on my old-school 17's on my Civic yesterday...err, trying to.

It turns out that the opening for the wheel studs to go through the holes is so tight, that my acorn-style Gorilla lug nuts simply wouldn't thread on to the wheel stud without hitting the wheel itself. The OEM lug nuts have an even thicker base, so they're out too.

Are these the type of lug nuts I need?

What didn't fit:

Can I pick these up locally?

You could go to your local Discount Tire/America's Tire Co. and pick up a set of lugs from them specifically made for "tuner" wheels. I think it comes out to be a little over thirty bucks for 16 lugs with a key.

They kinda look like the bottom pic that you showed, only they should fit.

yes..seems like you need the thin ones...pep boys usually stocks those but grease up the inner parts after you torque them down. cus they tend to rust and then strip/break later... happened to me and a handful of a few buddies of mine.
