Are there downsides to using open-ended lug nuts?

Ill be ordering my rims fairly soon and i just thought i should ask. Will it be easier for thieves to take my rims? Are there any other downsides? Thanks guys.

i believe they will be more susceptible to rusting. i had a set of open ended lugs and i had this problem. otherwise, chances of theft shouldn't be any different.
