Default stud pattern

Hi

i live in perth, western australia. I have the 96 ek civic. I am looking at getting the mangel driver wheels, 17 x 7.

I was told that these wheels weren't made for the civic as civics have 114.3mm not 100mm. Can someone help me out in terms of what options i have if any with getting these wheels? I have heard that you can get stud pattern adaptors?

any help would be great

thanks

Civics have a bolt pattern that is 4x100, not 4x114.3. I'm pretty sure it's the same in all markets. 100 or 114.3 refers to the diameter of the circle passing through the center of the studs and lug nuts. It's easy to check on a four-lug pattern, though; just measure the distance between opposite lug nuts on one of your wheels, using a ruler or tape measure. As neri has pointed out, it's easier to measure by using the edge of the lug nut rather than the center. But it should be pretty obvious whether it's 100 mm or 114.3 mm.

If they don't make wheels for your car, yes, you can get hub adaptors, but they move the wheels out, so you need to get the proper offset wheels to compensate and position the wheel properly in the wheel well. Unless you absolutely must have those particular wheels, it would make a lot more sense to just get wheels that come in the proper lug pattern, offset, and center bore for your car.
