You can run either size. But if I were you, I would go with the 195/60-14 size, because you can get much better tires in that size than 185/65-14. More specifically, if you care ONLY about dry traction, you can get the Falken Azenis RT-615 in 195/60-14 - outstanding dry traction, rapid treadwear (treadlife is commonly 10-12K miles), so-so in rain. If you also care about value and treadlife, you can get the Yokohama ES100 in 195/60-14 - very good dry traction, very good treadwear (commonly 25-40K miles), excellent in rain. (If you lived in an area where it snowed, you could also get the all-season Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position in 195/60-14, but you don't need all-seasons in Phoenix.) None of these tires are available in 185/65-14. So get one of these in 195/60-14.
yea thats true, but what if i didnt want any of those tires and i found some good tires in 185/60??
im not going with azenis or none of that all i want is good tires but i think i might go with 190/65.. Thanks!
