i am gonna paint my rims i wanna know the best way to paint em to make em look like they came that way and not have em chip and just make em lok damn sexy

x3 it'll look nice and last longer. and you won't have big forearms, or biceps sanding/buffing to prep to get it painted.

powder coating is good, but if you dont have the money I used krylon spray paint they sell it at wal mart make sure it sticks to metals. if you clean the wheel real good before and do light coats it will look good and last (but nothing like powder coating) thats what I did.

yeah, if you don't want to spend the $ on powdercoating, i found that the duplicolor wheel coating works great. two cans of color and two cans of clear should do 4 wheels. spray the clear over the final color coat within 15 minutes and it comes out real nice.

i have painted two sets of rims and i found that you should sand it down with medium grit so the paint sticks to the rim well, then clean it very well (soap followed by alcohol or other), then paint away. also if the tires are on you can put index cars between the lip and tire to keep it off the tire
