Default Recomendation for lugnuts???

Hey guys, i just ordered a set of 16x7 Rota circuit 8's in Gunmetallic with polished lip.

I want to get a set of lugnuts, but not at a redicuosly large price, yet not a total piece of **** thats going to break or strip.

I have no knoledge of what lugnuts are good or bad, so i turn to you guys for help.

Oh, and nothing too bling bling please... lol.

Thanks as always....

Well, it depends on whether you care about looks (which you didn't mention) and how much you care about cost (which you did mention).

You can buy plain old chrome lug nuts at Autozone for around a buck a piece and they should last forever without any problems.

There are also lots of tuner lug nuts on the market if you care about looks and bragging rights...

^^^ well, i dont want to spend more then $50 on a set of lugnuts. Sure, id like something that looks decent. Also, at one point in the past before my car was stolen i bought a set of lugnuts(blindly to be cool) and they look great, but also what i noticed about then was they were very lightweight.....

Doesnt ever ouce count when were talking about rotaional mass???

I currently have some Muteki's on my car. Bought them for roughly $35 dollars shipped from Evasive Motorsports (h-t sponsor). They've been on the car for about 7 months, been on and off a few times, and they're still in great condition.
On a side note, be a little weary if you choose to purchase colored lug nuts; the popular colors being red and blue. Although they may look nice when you first purchase them, they will fade over time.

Not when you're talking about such a small difference that any performance benefit is insignificant. At best you're talking about the difference in performance resulting from taking a dump before you get in the car.

That and it is so close to the centre of rotation that it is an even smaller difference.

Just do yourself a favour and make sure you get the right kind for your rims. Check the FAQ at the top in this forum to see what I am talking about.

Cheers.

Ok, then acording to the faq, it would be unsafe to run stock lugnuts with an after market rim, and i should use tapered lugnuts for my aftermarket wheels(rota c8's) like these.....
