picked up a set of new rays 77 wheels with matching BFG KD tires new for 1k. i'm happy but am curious if you guys use locktight on these valve stems with the nuts?

They should have rubber seals inside the caps. They're there to prevent the caps from spinning off.

 

no, no, where they mount in the wheels. sorry, i should have been more clear.

 

I wouldn't put much on the stem base threads, either.

 

didn't want to unless there was a reason to. if they don't typically have problems coming loose i doubt i'll use any. it's a double nut setup so you can lock them against each other.
