Default questions on honda offset....

Alright here is the thing. Im a vw guy... i know a lot about vw offsets but not much about hondas. A buddy of mine is going to buy my 16x7 16x8 porsche 928 7 slots. He wants to rock em on his EK. Question... what is stock offset on an EK? i dunno if it is similar to an mk3 jetta/gti but ours stock ie et34. I was planning on running et20 fronts with adapters and et12 rear with adapters(fenders rolled all around, on coils so i can get the stance right). he is on coils and can get his fenders roller.... im just wondering what offset you guys think would be the best for an EK. thanks in advance

best offsets to use without having to run massive negative camber, rubberband thin tires and rolled fenders would be:

16x7 +40 to +45 offset on an ek..

but from the sounds of it you are a 'make it fit type' guy so i dont see your setup as posing any problems.. im assuming you are using a tire that is smaller than usual, correct? if so, then yes. i believe it will work w/ rolled fenders and negative camber adjustment..

i have seen it done many times and have persoanlly fit the wrong size wheel on my vehicles with success.... but with me i never used those types of setup for everyday use. only for meets/shows

ya i mean... being a vw guy i love stretching tires on wider wheels and making em fit on cars and look awesome haha. So a regular wheel on an EK is as high as et40-45? damn... on a dub thats like hovercraft status. The good thing is the wheels are 5x130 et65 on the 7's and et52 on the 8's. So with the 4x100 to 5x130 adapters there is room to play with what size adapter you want to get a specific offset..... So im guessing a flush sitting wheel (flush with the fender) on en ek is gonna be around et30 ish? thanks for you input

yes. i mean there are prolly ways around the high offset on the ek like just simply using crazy camber(or in some cases: natural 'dumped' camber) but either way if you want to tuck any type of tire and have an agressive offset at once on these cars then some type of modding is required whether the mod is big or small

yeah... he works for a vw dealer. he is gonna have the body guys roll his fenders and such to make the wheels fit. so it should be ok. I just wasnt sure what a good starting offset would be. Im thinking et35 fronts and et32 rear now.... and just for fun here r some picks of my old jetta. 16x7 rota slips et35 205/40 tires H&R coils

15x8 et25 195/50 tires

before i rolled the fenders...

15mm spacer et10 in rear.. it rubbed horribly it was awesome.. haha
