Please help with tire sizing!!!
I have a 96 civic coupe and have been running 205/45-16...now I am getting rid of them and putting on some old-school 95 hatchback steelies. They are 13" wheels and I am not sure what tire size would be appropriate. I know for a 95 hatch it would use 175/70-13...but would I need to go up on width and/or sidewall height for my 96 coupe? Need feedback ASAP.

It depends on which version '96 Civic Coupe you have. In '96, Honda put two different sizes on Civics. The DX version of the '96 Civic Coupe (along with the DX sedan and all hatchbacks that year) came from the factory with 175/70-13, so if yours is a DX, you'll obviously be fine with the stock size. The EX and HX versions of the '96 Civic Coupe (and all non-DX versions of the sedan) came with 185/65-14, so on those versions you probably want to go with 185/70-13, which is 1.2 percent smaller in diameter than your stock size, close enough.
Note that tire selection in 13" sizes is really limited, particularly for performance-oriented street tires.

yeah, that is EXACTLY what I was thinking. It's an EX Coupe, and when I calculated that tire diameters , the 185/70-13 would only be about 1/10th of an inch smaller than my current diameter...which was the closest I could find. These wheels/tires are going to be more for commuting, since I drive about 500 miles a week for work..and I have found them for a very cheap price. Thanks for the feedback.
