What are those really ugly flat mugen wheels. Ive only seen them in white and Ive only seen them on a CRX.. Any Idea?

 

only "ugly" mugen wheels i can think of that you'd mainly see on EFs and are kinda flat are the CF-48s, but i've never seen them in white... you don't see them too often. *shrug* i'll see if i can find a pic

'ugly' doesn't narrow it down much when it comes to mugen wheels from the early 90's.

 

well cf-48 had covers and with the covers those wheels looks realy good.

 

Yeah, those ARE ugly... Ugly enough that I passed on a set (or MOST of a set - 3 wheels) at a Pick-n-Pull yard a few years back. They were on a white 1st-gen CRX - 13x5, WHITE, no covers, and I searched for the 4th wheel all over that damn place. Never found it. If I had, I coulda had the set for $100. At that price, I'd have gotten over the ugliness or resold them!

Definitely didn't intend to insult, and sure as hell don't want to start a war over it. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and all that good stuff. If you like 'em, rock 'em. Hell, if I'd've found that fourth wheel at the junkyard, I'd probably have 'em on my '87 CRX - and there's more than a few CRX folks who'll tell you that 1G CRXs are ugly!

Any wheel that YOU like is the right one for your car. I'm not crazy about any of the Mugen wheels, but that's just me... It doesn't mean they're not good wheels, or that others can't love 'em. Be a pretty boring world if we all had to like the same things!
