Default lug nuts

i just bought new wheels (Rota C8's) and i know i need new lug nuts and i have ordered them but is it alright if i just use my oem's for a week until i get the lug nuts shipped in? i believe the previous owner had used oem's at some point with these wheels. and i dont plan to use the oem's again after this if that makes any difference.

Just wait. In the mean while use your old rims with your old lugs.

Or go to a honda dealership or a parts store and just buy the lug nuts.

Make sure the seat is the same. More often then not the OEM lugs don't seat correctly on aftermarket wheels.

The shape of the seating area is not the same. Aftermarket rims have a tapered/conical seating area. Honda/Acura rims and lug nuts have a ball-shaped seating area.

This is good advice.

A Honda dealership probably won't have the lug nuts with the tapered seating area you need. You should be able to find them in your local Autozone or other auto parts store, for a little over a buck apiece.
