Hx wheels
i got some civic HX wheels on my 92 4 door eg, and i need to get new tires, and i was wondering what would be better traction and better overall for racing in sizes, 195 60 14? 185 60 14? or is there any other sizes you guys have to throw at me?

185/60-14 is the best match for the outer diameter on your car, so if you're looking for street tires, that's a good size to get. 195/55-14 works too. 14" tire options are limited. If you don't need to drive in snow, summer tires include the Yokohama ES100 summer tire in 185/60-14 or the Toyo T1-R in 195/55-14. If you need to use the same tires in snow as in warmer weather, you can get the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position all-season tire in 185/60-14.
If you're going to use the tires for the track or the dragstrip, you may want to get 195/60-14. The supersticky (but fast-wearing) Falken Azenis RT-615 is available in that size.

Here are prices of the above tires at various online vendors:
$75 Yokohama ES100 185/60-14 (Tire Rack)
$71 Toyo T1-R 195/55-14 (onlinetires.com)
$70 Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position 185/60-14 (Tire Rack)
$59 Falken Azenis RT-615* 195/60-14 (Vulcan)
Part of the problem is that 14" tires are more expensive than 15", because there are so few of them out there. You can get really good 15" tires for $55-60. Not 14" tires.
If you want to get cheap tires, here are some other options:
$44 Sumitomo HTR 200 185/60-14 (summer tire) (Tire Rack)
$41 Fuzion HRi 185/60-14 (all-season) (Tire Rack)
$44 Falken Ziex ZE-912 185/60-14 (all-season) (Edge Racing)
None of these is as good as the previous group, but if you want cheaper, they're cheaper.
*I don't recommend the Falken Azenis RT-615 if you're looking for value, since they wear out so quickly.

Which ones do you mean? Hankook makes a lot of tires with the Ventus name (just like Bridgestone does with the Potenza name, Kumho with Ecsta, etc). The only really good one is the Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212; they won't last as long as the other tires recommended here (other than the Azenis), and they only come in 195/60-14, not in the sizes you need.
