Default Help with tires

ok so my ZIEX's are down to slicks pretty much, and Im looking for new tires. I need some help though. Im looking for a sticky tire that has great dry weather handling, and great for the occasional drag strip run. Im not looking for a drag radial. I was thinking about the Nitto NT555's again, but I wanted to go with something different. I thought about the Falken RT615's, but I heard they were better for auto-x. Im not sure on a price range... nothing outrageously expensive.

Also, whats a cheap place online to buy tires?

- Im looking for 205/50/15

The Falken Azenis RT-615 is perfect for what you're looking for. It's not just for autocross! Lots of people use them on the street. You can get them from Vulcan.

There are other places to get the Azenis, such as Edge Racing and Discount Tire, but based on my experience, they're probably not going to be any cheaper than Vulcan. Feel free to shop around, and when comparing prices, remember to take into account differences in shipping (zero for Discount Tire and local dealers), sales tax (zero when ordering to be shipped), and mounting/balancing (sometimes zero from local dealers).

Keep in mind that tire weight (less is better) will help/hurt your straight line performance like at a drag strip. Kumho MX and Toyo T1Rs are a couple lbs lighter and probably just as good for leaving the starting line. I have seen the RT615 on ax courses and they def shine there.

Not as much as a stickier tire compound and tread pattern will.

They may be lighter, but they won't grip anywhere near as well as the Azenis.

Even better than the Azenis for the drag strip are drag radials, which are designed specifically for straight-line acceleration (but wear even faster, which makes them generally not the best choice for street use).
