Default HELP

so i was driving today and ran through a deep pothole. Tire went flat. Put on my spare. and drive to the nearnest tire shop. THey said my aluminum wheels are bent and have a small crack. They said they wont be able to fix it. I came back home took off the spare and the other front tire and put on my winter tires for the front. The tires in the front are 14's and in the back i have high perfornmance low profile 17's. I have two questions. Is there a way to get the aluminum wheel fixed? like are there maybe specialists. And what effects will running bigger tires in front or rear have. I have a FWD integra so i was thinking i should put the bigger high performance tires in the front... I could just put on all winter tires but their handling sucks.

thanks

1) u can repair a bent rim, but not a cracked rim. get rid of the 17s if u dont want a rim to break every time u hit a pothole
2) keep the steelies on the front and the 17s on back

well i looked online and i found this company called Wheels of america. Luckily one of their repair shops are 15 miles away. By the picktures they have on their site looks like they can repair it. it's not like cracked on the face... it's cracked a little bit on like the bottom... they said they would charge me 100 if i didn;t want it painted. I am gonna go and show them the wheel tommorow

How did you make out?

Yes, taking it to a wheel repair specialist is the answer. If they can fix it, they will; otherwise, they'll tell you they can't.

Wheels America is one of three places in our area that fix wheels:

Transwheel (I'm not sure if they deal with consumers vs only with shops)
Wheels America
