these tires came on my brother's srt4 and i had them on my da i built, they werent bad but i didnt like them that much. They didnt seem to get stickier as they heated up. Seems you would have alittle better selection if you got a 45 profile, why do you want 50 anyways? That is going to be a very high sidewall.

The BFG KD is a supersticky street tire designed for maximum dry traction. However, the Falken Azenis RT-615 and Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 are stickier and cheaper, so I would get either one over the KD.

I don't recommend the Nitto NT-01 for street driving. It's an R compound track tire. If you're going to use it only on the track, it's fine, but track tires are not suitable for the street (due to rapid treadwear, among other things).

What kind of car is this on (year, model, version)? Personally, I would ditch the 15x8 wheels. But, depending on what kind of car this is, you could get the Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 in 225/45-15 and mount them on the 15x8. Or, you could get some R comp track tires in that size, and get a separate set of wheels for the street.

ok well here, i'll copy and past this from one of my other threads:

EH2 (EG hatch):
Function & Form type II
F & R SK2 pro plus camber
ES master kit
ES trailing arm bushing set
ES F end links
ES F & R sway bar mounts
oem 22mm F DC2 sway bar
oem 23mm R ITR 98 spec sway bar
ASR R Subframe Brace
Function7 LCAs
Function7 Rear Sway Bar Bushing Set
Function7 Rear Sway Bar Endlink Set
SPC rear toe kit
autopower race roll bar (bolt in)
DC2 disks all around
Brembo X drilled & slotted
DC2 F subframe & steering rack
SS break lines
HAWK HPS
a bunch are GRADE 8 bolts & nuts cus there was alot of saws-alling

future plains:
debating about a wheel and tire combo now.
Cusco Front ST Strut Brace
Cusco Rear 40 Strut Brace

thats my car, just a dash and door panels. i love to drive this car so i dont want to limet it to just the track. so thats why i want to use a hard core STREET tire. and i know the Azenis RT-615 is that. BUT i wanted to get a set of bolt on fender flares and widen my stants up a lil. i figer it would be a good different look amunge the every day tuck.

and i do have a set of every day wheel and tires for traveling and lond distance driving.

Then by all means get some R comps, if you already have a fair amount of track experience (say half a dozen events or more). R comps available in 225/45-15 include the Hoosier R6, Kumho Ecsta V700, Nitto NT-01, and Toyo R888 and RA1.

Yes, the Hankook Ventus R-S2 Z212 is available in 225/45-15, which is a better size for your car than 225/50 anyway.
