Default 42mm offset question!

I found a pair of Enkei wheels to get, but the only problem is a +42mm offset. What would I do about tires on these? Would 215/40/16 work? or 215/45/16? Both? Which would be better?

Already tried searching too.

the car these will be going on will determine your ideal tire size. If theyre going on a 95/earlier civic, you should get 205/40/16, if theyre going on a 96-00 civic or any year (iirc) integra, its a tossup between 205/45/16 and 215/45/16, depending on your preferred tire's size availability.

+42mm offset shouldnt be any issue, since most honda applications are in the +45 range.

Correct except (a) the best offset depends on the wheel width, which hasn't been stated, and (b) the '96 Civic is a bastard - the DX and hatchback models need the same size tires as the '95/earlier, and only the other models need the same size as the '97-00.
