Default 4 to 5 lug conversion? 4 lug wheels?

I was really hyped because I was going to but rims on my 02' SE coupe, but when I got to the wheel shop all that the guy had was 5 lug wheels and I am only finding ugly 4 lug wheels. The guy said that he wouldn't use an adapter and he dosen't recommend it. How could I convert to 5 lug, or where can I buy some nice looking 4 lug wheels?

wow...

check the picture archive at the top of the forum for some nice looking wheels.

Well, I can't see to find any nice glossy black chrome lipped 19"s, which is what I want. Are there any good websites?

The Tire Rack, Discount Tire, the Sponsors, and the H-T Marketplace are a few good places.

ah, you want 19s. that is your problem. try the links above, and if those don't work out check out some import tuner magazine websites to see if they have forums.

IMO, 19's look way too big on Civics. I'd go with 17's or 18's, at the most. You've got more wheel/tire selections with those sizes, also.

19s are still too big. doesn't an '02 accord have 5 lugs already?

gotcha. i'm still trying to fully udnerstand this thread

the 4x114 is a tough size to find large wheels in. are 17s or 18s out of the question? if you're dead-set on going with 19s your best bet is then to swap to a 5-lug setup from the accord v6. the accord forum would be able to answer your questions regarding that better than we could.

Thanks for the help Mike C. If I am going to spend money on Rims, I might as well convert it to a 5 lug.

19"s I think, Look great on these accords. I was looking at some 18"s and they look pretty good too, but don't fit up the wheel well that great. I don't want that lowered, rice look.

Yeah. Let me sum it up.

My car is a 4cly. the 4 cly model came with 4 lugs. V6 5.

Nice rims are only made for 5 lug cars.

I think I switch out the axel with a v6 to make it 5 lug or something...I don't know.

Or. Where can I find some good 4 lug wheels?

if you step down to an 18, which is more than enough to fill up the wheel well and not look "ricey", you'll have many more options for wheels. heck, even a 17 will fill those wheels wwells.
